The department is subject to professional guidelines at leading standards. Regular supervision is conducted by the Ministry of Health and professional staff at the hospital, as well as a satisfaction survey. Department 106 At the "Shmuel HaRofeh" hospital, the respirators department treats patients with potential for respiratory rehabilitation and chronic respiratory diseases. Designed for people who need respiratory support through a respirator over time. The department is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team, skilled and professional, with special training in treating patients, in rehab from respirator and respiratory rehabilitation. |
A multi-disciplinary team of experienced geriatric specialists, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dietitians, social workers and consultants is available to the patients.
The department is equipped with the best technological equipment such as closed circuit television for patient follow-up, advanced technological equipment and advanced clinical information system.

Conditions of hospitalization in the ward
Each room in the ward has up to 2 beds. Patients receive 5 meals a day. The patient's daily menu is adapted to his needs and supervised by a nursing and dietician. Outside the department there are extensive public areas, such as shaded places for sitting under pergolas. In the ward there is a dining room lobby and seating areas that allow patients to meet in a comfortable and intimate environment.
The purpose of hospitalization in the ward
To treat patients professionally from the medical and nursing perspective, to balance and stabilize the patients' medical condition, which allows, to the extent possible, an attempt at withdrawal from respiration, a tube and a medical pipeline until the patient is brought to a suitable setting.
